Event Overview
Boson Ventures proudly co-hosted the SJTU Australia-China Biopharma Collaboration Forum on 4 August 2025 in Melbourne, bringing together leaders from biotech, healthcare, academia, and investment across both nations.
Our Unique Position
As the only Chinese-led, government-backed VC in Australia, our mission is to back groundbreaking Australian deep tech and healthcare startups, and help them scale into Asia, especially tapping into China’s fast-growing innovation ecosystem.
Forum Highlights

This high-level event connected over 2,000 delegates in person and online, sparking conversations on frontier technologies, industry trends, and cross-border collaboration opportunities. Our Founding Partner, Alan C. and Investment Manager, Shuyun Zhang shared why now is the best time to invest in Australia’s biotech innovation and how Boson Ventures’ capacity is uniquely positioned to lead in the Australia China biotech innovation collaboration.

We believe the future of biotech and healthcare lies in collaboration, not isolation. By fostering partnerships between Australia’s world-class research and China’s vast market and manufacturing power, we can accelerate life-saving innovations and create lasting global impact.
The Melbourne forum was more than just an event, it was a step forward in our mission to turn deep tech visions into global solutions. We also organised a four day tour of the Australian biotech ecosystem. Please stay tuned for our further updates.
