Role overview
Location: Melbourne, Australia (Boson HQ) — in-person required during core program weeks
Type: Full-Time · Reports to Alan Cui, Managing Partner
Start: Immediate (July 2026 latest — Cohort 1 begins October 2026)
The role
This is the operational and ecosystem heart of Boson Collider. You will own everything from cohort recruitment and curriculum delivery to founder experience and strategic partner relationships — while serving as Boson Ventures' primary interface with the broader Victorian and Australian deep tech ecosystem.
This is not just a coordinator role. You will set the rhythm of the program, represent Boson externally, and build the relationships — with universities, accelerators, corporates, mentors, and founders — that make both Boson Collider and Boson Ventures a destination for the best deep tech talent in Australia.
What you'll own
1. Boson Collider Program Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of two cohorts: recruitment, selection, 12-week curriculum, Collider Sessions, technical residencies, Demo Days, and LaunchVic milestone reporting
- Manage the full founder experience from application through to 12-month alumni support
- Drive the Asia Landing Pad for qualifying teams, leveraging Boson's Greater Bay Area and Yangtze River Delta networks
- Build Boson Collider toward self-sustainability by Cohort 3
2. Partner & Ecosystem Relationships
- Own and develop relationships with technology and industry partners including global names such as Alibaba and HS Robotics
- Build and deepen Boson's university relationships across Victoria — Monash, University of Melbourne, RMIT, and others
- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate 8–10 Lead Mentors per cohort alongside track-specific advisors
- Represent Boson at ecosystem events, university forums, accelerator networks, and government engagements
3. Deal Flow & VC Support
- Surface high-quality deep tech deal flow through ecosystem relationships
- Support investment due diligence where ecosystem or program context is relevant
- Connect portfolio companies to the ecosystem: industry partners, potential customers, talent networks, and follow-on capital
Who we're looking for
Must-haves
- Demonstrated experience running an accelerator, pre-accelerator, university innovation program, or equivalent multi-stakeholder initiative
- Strong founder-facing instincts: credible to technical founders
- Comfort with deep tech subject matter across at least one of: healthcare, advanced manufacturing, clean tech, or AI/robotics
- High AI literacy and hands-on fluency with modern AI tools (Claude, Cowork, Cursor) — Boson Collider is an AI-first program
- Excellent operational discipline
- Strong structured thinking and problem-solving ability
Highly regarded
- Prior experience as a founder, early-stage operator, or VC analyst in deep tech
- Existing relationships in the Victorian innovation ecosystem
- Asia exposure — particularly Greater China or Singapore
- Bilingual English + Mandarin
- Experience working with government funders (LaunchVic, IIF, MRFF, Breakthrough Victoria)
What you'll get
- A full-time role with genuine ownership — not a coordinator position
- The full weight of the Boson platform behind you: GP team, portfolio companies, LP network, and Asia relationships from day one
- High autonomy and a direct seat at the table within a small, high-trust operating team
- Participation in Boson's carry programme
- Competitive remuneration and equity options for the right candidate
